Las Vegas - Perhelatan MTV Video Music Awards 2007 menyisakan kisah indah untuk Justin Timberlake dan Rihanna. Keduanya bersaing ketat dengan hasil dua sama.

Rihanna dinominasikan untuk 5 penghargaan dalam acara yang digelar di Las Vegas, Minggu (9/9) waktu setempat. Namun malam itu hits andalan Rihanna 'Umbrella' berhasil mengantongi piala Video of the Year dan Monster Single of the Year.

Justin yang dinominasikan dalam 7 penghargaan malam itu pun berhasil menyaingi kedudukan Rihanna lewat 2 piala. Diantaranya untuk penghargaan Male Artist of the Year dan Quadruple Threat of the Year.

Namun sutradara video klip 'What Goes Around ... Comes Around' milik Justin, Samuel Bayer juga mengantongi piala Best Director. Begitu pula dengan Marty Kudelka yang meraih Best Choreography untuk video klip Justin, 'Let Me Talk to You/My Love'.

Dikutip detikhot dari Yahoonews, Senin (10/9/2007) dalam malam penghargaan itu Rihanna dan Justin juga unjuk kebolehan. Mendapuk penyanyi R&B Chris Brown, Rihanna tampil memukau. Sementara itu Justin berkolaborasi dengan 50 Cent dalam lagu 'Ayo Technology'.
